A showcase for students from grades 4-9 to present their creative displays about Canadian or local history from a school or personal perspective. The Teresa Sargent Hall was a busy venue with over 60 entries competing in a learning and sharing opportunity.

The PCHS Christmas Season Gathering
The full Generations Readers Theatre cast of players provided attending members and the public with full-dress performances of various seasonal classics. The playbill included Dickens’ Christmas Carol, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Santa Visits a Soldier’s Home, a Ukrainian farmer’s version of the Twelve Days of Christmas, and more. A Remembrance Event at the GP Museum
Duff Crerar spoke on War and Identity in the 20 th Century Peace Country on a day that is also marked as National Aboriginal Veterans Day, and discussions that followed explored the various experiences of residents during wartime and postwar years. Whether they continued on the land or had enlisted and returned, there were few positive changes for many, particularly those with previous Native status. (See it in the Winter 2023 newsletter.)
A Grande Education Video Series Goes Online
With support funding from Telus STORYHIVE, the Generations Readers Theatre Grande Prairie’s 10-episode series on early area school days was released for everyone. Search under “A Grande Education on YouTube”.
Our Bus Tour to the North Peace Including Hines Creek
As reported in the Fall 2023 newsletter, the tour was a great learning experience with welcoming stops and conversations. It was our most extensive trip, but it gained great reviews. It was a full day well spent in historical settings with our Peace Country neighbours.
